The TrueCeliac food wash helps release gluten from the surfaces of raw ingredients.
Naturally gluten-free foods such as rice and soy beans frequently come into contact with gluten at various stages of production, from sourcing to packaging. Many contaminated ingredients are then incorporated into gluten free products becoming unsafe for severe celiacs.
The TrueCeliac food wash can be used to remove gluten contamination from raw ingredients including but not limited to nuts, seeds, rice, and beans. Having the ability to decontaminate these ingredients opens up a world of possibilities to severe celiacs from an assortment of flours used for baking to chocolate and healthy vegan sources of protein. For many severe celiacs, products containing these ingredients are avoided.
The ability to remove gluten allows the current food supply chain to be utilized. Instead of controlling every stage of production, ensuring that every step from farm to package is dedicated gluten free, raw ingredients can simply be decontaminated prior to being incorporated into gluten free products.
This approach expands the range of ingredients available for use in truly gluten-free foods, making it a useful product for personal and commercial gluten free kitchens alike. It also significantly decreases the expenses associated with production making it more affordable for many.
